My tank is about 5 months now, so fairly new. I have a recurring bacterial bloom that does not go away.
Is the only solution a UV Light?
Has this happened to anyone with a new tank before and how did you resolve?

It happens to everyone with a new tank :upside-down-face: it will go away by itself, nothing to worry too much about!

Are you running any carbon in your tank? If not, then stick in a bag as per makers instructions in an area with high flow through. That may help you along.

Yes I’m currently running carbon and it has done absolutely nothing. I’m trying to be patient, just want out of the ugly stage already lol.
Thank you
