I saw a video on Zoa toxins. They will usually release only if fragged or cut. A water change is recommended after fragging in order to make sure it does not harm your other inhabitants.
If you are worried about something bad happening, maybe you can cut out a piece of the rock the zoas are on and keep it seperate from the main rock work just in case you ever want to remove it from the tank.
You can probably just sell them, too.
