If you are in the US iodine tincture is less hassle to get as you don't need an ID unlike with lugol

+1 on the high light and high flow, i usually seperate my zoa frags and sps display but i tried putting some zoas in the sps display and wow. They exploded in growth. The have bigger, juicier polyps and pop new polyps like crazy.

I keep my zoas in the 90-100 PAR range, dose AB+ daily and feed Reef Chili 3x/week. My zoas all look great and I'm getting tremendous growth out of them.

I just noticed this morning that my Ktar Black Hornets (which I've been told are "hard to grow") have a new baby. That makes 4 new polyps in 6 weeks, starting with only a 3 polyp frag.

You are Welcome. :)

No, I Do Not Use Carbon.

Remember Carbon Takes out Good Things as Well as Bad Things so your Corals get Less Nutrients when you use Carbon.

I used Carbon for 5 Years and I got no Growth at all in Most All My Corals.

So I stopped Using Carbon and Boom Corals were Growing :)

I Take a Natural Approach and Do Not Believe in Carbon.
I’m new to reefing and was just told carbon in my filter area is a staple of what to do. Didn’t know it took out good things too. Gonna have to look up a pro and cons lists about carbon, and the wonder if this is what’s affecting my zoa growth!
