Spent the better part of the morning cleaning and scraping the glass. The tank always looks so much better after. If only they could make glass that coralline can't grow on lol.

Just the blues on.

So at this point the tank was around 3 months old. We started branching out to new LFS around the state and found some awesome stores, each with a different lineup of live stock. The addiction had really set in, we were buying new corals almost weekly.

Torch Coral from TCR I see you have a coralbanded and a pep shrimp BAD IDEA the pep and the banded are not compatable. look it up . :)

Green Hammer, Pulsing Xenia, and a ZOA colony from PC

Blue/Purple Mushrooms, Green Goniopora, and Lobo from Exotic Superpet

In June we joined CTARS and went to our first meeting. We won our first SPS frag. We learned soon that our dual lamp T5 HO Light wasn't going to cut it for SPS.

After 3 years of running a coralife super skimmer I decided it's time to upgrade. The super skimmer was too large to fit into the 3rd chamber of my sump so it had to used as a hang on unit into the side of the sump. Not ideal for the numerous times it randomly decided to overflow.

I saw the Coral Box skimmers at CMAC and liked the look build quality and the controllable DC pump. Plus it has a slim footprint and would fit in my sump.

I just bought the skimmer from Logan yesterday and could not wait to get it installed. No instructions but it went together pretty easily. Took a little adjusting to get it to fit in the sump but I finally got it the way I wanted.

So far I am really impressed with the skimmer and it is already staring to pull out some grossness.
