What is the most beautiful tang in your opinion?

I'm with @tswanso3 on the Folweri, I had a large one previously, this time I started with a 2 1/2" baby. Had him since October. Like the Duss and other larger Acanthus they get to be stunning as adults. I'm already seeing my guy flash cobalt and violet at times.



Then a chance came a long to add a maculiceps from a fellow r2r'er from one town over so I couldn't pass.



The maculiceps is also on the smaller side ~4". At the moment they're the only tangs in the DT. If the right opportunity came up I'd add an Achilles Hybrid or a Black tang hybrid but I want to be careful I don't overstock my 220. I'd like to keep these guys for a very long time.

I've always wanted to keep a Powder Blue. They are amazing.
Sohals and Achilles are completely awesome as well.
But I need a bigger tank!

When I got my Black Tang DD had like a 25% off discount so it was like $600+? Today most are $800 +. The difference between purples and Black is the purple are more aggressive. My Black just swims around and eats/grazes. If I won a lottery ticket I would pick up a Gem right now. Too bad I never buy lottery tickets!

So many beautiful tangs! Deuce, Fowleri and Maculiceps are all gorgeous. Would have a hard time picking between them. One not mentioned and I think greatly under appreciated is the Gold Rim. Wonderful fish that we often saw in surge zone habitat along with Achilles.

#1 Achilles #2 Sohal #3 Regal I chose the Regal for the simple fact, if you remove the Disney and Pixar effect it’s a stunning fish. The unique blue body, the one off black pattern, and a splash of yellow.
