Other: vlamingii

I love the silver and blue on the vlamingii, but I’ll never be able to own one.

I like the 2spot bristletooth because of the blue eyes, achilles, and then WWC has an albino tang in 1 of there display tanks that looks awesome.

I guess I’m the odd man out here. I also have a thing for tangs. Although I like the PBT, my Powder Brown wins my vote. The yellow shadow that edges his black fins and the streak of red that flashes on his dorsal is so cool.

I really dig the purple tang also but I could go on and on. If only I had that 1000 gal tank to hold them all.

I also like the yellow belly version of the Regal tang. that's what I want to get when I set up a tank large enough for one.

I was surprise not to see the yellow tang having its own spot on the poll. I voted PBT, because that was the main fish I wanted in my system, but to this day the yellow tang always amazes me how striking and vivid nature made their yellow. A must have tang.

Some of the more common tangs when they are healthy and full size in the wild are much more beautiful than you'd expect. For instance, I saw some orange shoulder tangs in Hawaii this past February while snorkeling and I was blown away by how gorgeous they were.
Hands down though, Achilles are the most elegantly colored fish I've ever seen. I've seen them in Hawaii too and they are quite a sight when they are full size (12+") and in their natural habitat. I have had mine going for about 14 months or so now.

Man, no love for a Lavender Tang? Not the most intricately patterned or brightest but the yellow blending into the purple and the purplish pink on the ventral fins are pretty unique and is what attracted me the most. Never kept one but would love to have a large enough tank for a small group of them. Second in line is a juvenile Two Spot Bristletooth, but if you get the right one, the colors and pattern hit a sweet spot. Never could get a pic of the one I had but it was beautiful.

YES! I've seen schools of those in Hawaii and they are SO BEAUTIFUL. When the sun catches them at just the right angle they are rainbow colored. It's funny that they are commonly known in the hobby as "brown tangs" Doesn't do them any justice. They are one of the most colorful of all.

How do the pair of purples do together? Would love to have a pair of them but figured that would end badly...
I started with three because everyone says three but these two picked on the third so I removed the third. Most days they are fine, a few days of the month the chase is on between the two(Maybe the Moon?). They have been together over two years
