Powder blue is truely beautiful.
But sometimes I wish I didn't got him.
Every new fish I add to the tank is at risk to get killed by him.
My only solution now is to get very tiny juvenile new fishes around 1" in size.
He doesn't care about tiny fishes.

I can't own a tank without having a Regal and a Yellow Tang. I also own have a Sailfin tang he's stunning too.

Not very ambitious I know ,

This may be a good thread to ask for some Tang advice. I have an 8 month old tank (140g display, 5' long, 50g sump) that is coming along well. Added a few soft and LPS corals a month or so ago. I have a one-spot Foxface, 6 pajama Cardinals, Engineer Goby, Tailspot Blenny, yellow Watchman Goby (and tiger pistol shrimp), and Royal Gramma. I don't want to overstock and am looking for some color variety. I have been considering adding two tangs as my last two fish for the foreseeable future. Been agonizing over what kind. I would love a Powder Blue and am just concerned about size. I don't necessarily want a Yellow as I have my Foxface. Maybe a Kole? I would go with juveniles and add them both at the same time. Any thoughts? Other suggestions on the Tangs or perhaps one Tang and different fish? Thanks in advance for any input.

This is my adult Chevron. Not the flashiest of color but very beautiful still.
I will be getting a Juvenile but I still find senior colors attractive, In fact to me. . . A POOR MAN'S Gem Tang !!!

Dussemerie are so nice.. but these pics do not even show the true adult colors.. they need a very very large system and need to reach true adult coloration...

I guess I’m not in the majority here. My vote is for a desjardini. Relegated to the “other” category and not mentioned for 30+ posts.
Yellows are lovely, and I think there may be more in reef tanks than any others, but for the similar tangs I’d go purple.
Beautiful as they are the risk from sohals and clown tangs makes me nervous even with a 10 foot tank.
