Well right now i use 2x150 Hqis and 2x130pcs over my 55 gallon. i have t5hos, i loved them BUT they dont give me the look i wanted. I LOVE the shimmer effect, so i went back to my hqis. I also noticed WAY more growth with my HQIS then my t5s

Current Tank:

250w Radium 20k
24w URI VHO Super Actinics (2)

New tank:

250w Radium 20Ks (2) on Icecap ballasts
110w URI VHO Super Actinics (2) on Icecap 660
54w ATI B+ W/ Icecap reflectors (2) on Icecap 660

Depending on how it looks. I may change out the B+ for Specials.

I'm now running my new lighting setup and it is simply amazing. Radiums plus T5s and VHOs is a killer combo.

I chose another combo because I use a 250w HQI 14000K hamilton bulb with two T5 pro-blue bulbs. Then I have the fishbowlinnovations mooncomputer running two led moonlights for night time:D. I also have a flourescent bulb with built in reflector on my fuge. now to just get the ls and LR so I can actually use the lighting.
