Zoanthids and clove polyps clearly being eaten. I don’t trust my cowfish.

Today I noticed that a few of my smaller zoanthid colonies were gone and a rainbow clove polyp frag I just purchased that previously had two heads now has two chewed up stumps.

I suspect I know who may be responsible…

I have heard mixed things about whether cow fish will nibble on corals. Some say no problems others say they might. I have so many corals that I’m not worried about it but I’d like to know what I’m dealing with. My cow fish Piglet, is a spoiled rotten little vacuum who never stops begging for food. Can’t even walk past my tank without him begging. He is like a bottomless pit for anything I feed him. Even right now I am sitting here watching him furiously trying to eat the crystalline algae on my tank glass… 0.o He has been growing rapidly lately I’ve noticed..

I don’t have any other fish of concern, currently no crabs, I’m always dip newcomers… my tank is packed with lps and sps of all kinds and this is the first time I’ve had corals CLEARLY be eaten.

Am I correct in assuming Piglet is taking his eating to a whole new level?
