SURPRISE! Adam has announced a surprise grow out!

I officially invite you all to join the 2024 Battle Corals Surprise Fall Grow Out

This Poletti Yellow Tip was selected by Adam for being truly invincible and the contest will run concurrently with the Tournament Of Champions Grow Out.

Official Rules

All entry submissions must include a clear photo of the contest frag, next to the included BattleCorals Official Measurement Tool.

Entry may also include water parameters of Salinity, Calcium, and Alkalinity, optional parameters of Nitrate, Phosphate, and Magnesium may also be included for completeness.

Entries must be submitted before the end of the month, each month.

Two consecutive months may be taken without an entry. If you plan to miss a month, notify me by PM if you know in advance.

An initial 'Zero' measurement must be registered within 7 days of receiving the frag and will be considered your first month entry.

If your frag does not survive the initial 7 days after receiving, please contact Adam @Battlecorals, and pending availability, a replacement will be issued entirely at the discretion of Battlecorals.

Entry Fee is $55 USD plus +$45 shipping for a total of $100. If you wish to do add ons (BattleBox or individual frags), and order above $250, shipping will be free.

***Frags are not anticipated to ship until a few days after Black Friday to help prevent shipping delays***

Included in the package will be:

One Poletti Yellow Tip frag

One Custom Ruler for measuring official entries

There will probably be more goodies in your box as well.

Post below to be entered into the contest!

Adam will send you a link to the special category for this entry.

FIRST 30 POST WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR ENTRY

We currently have enough space for 30 but please feel free to sign up in case of dropouts and more may be added.

Feel free to add additional corals or another BattleBox.

Mostly growth. However if two have comparable growth then it gets more technical such as growth form, best color, etc.

I have a question. I see the sight says 1” frags. I want to pick out a few for my next order. Are they actually 1” or are they usually bigger and multi branch how you just sent me.

What you got this time is pretty representative of what you usually get.

Oh, they are usually considerably bigger. In fact it’s been a long time now since I wrote that lol.

I should probably update the site. I don’t have many 1” frags these days. And the magic of the Battlebox is that you’ll usually get the biggest best looking frag on the rack at that particular moment.

As opposed to a custom order where I may have to scrimp on something I don’t have a lot of to go around.

Ok yea I wanted particulars. Any way we can put a battle box with maybe a few particulars and a few that you’ve picked?

The trick with ordering a Battlebox is to describe the features of the coral you're looking for rather than a specific named species. In my experience Adam knows what the best version of something is. You may think "I want the ABC Super Extra Rainbow Milli". So if you just tell Adam you want colorful milllis you'll end up with better than what pictures you were seeing online.

I'll give an example. I asked for oranges and reds. I got a BC lipstick milli, BC A Fire Engine, BC Something Oranges Spath and each and every one of these looked unreal on delivery. Better than any pictures I saw anywhere online.

Moral of the story, tell him colors and species and let the expert get you what you need.

Yes this exactly! And thank you! I really appreciate the rundown. I could not have said it better.

I will always plug in specifics whenever I can
for sure. I have one goal with these boxes and that is to make you 100% happy when you open that box.

When I can add in pieces i know you want for sure that only makes it easier:)

@Heres_doe_ One more thing, Adam doesn't keep bad looking or basic corals. Pretty sure he doesn't have room for them. So when you describe what you're looking for, you'll get something amazing that meets those specs.
