You guys don't think it's a bad idea to pick out my first few corals with a phosphate level that all I know, is at least >.90ppm?

I feel like that's way out of whack though. I'm gonna Google it but isn't there a nitrate to phosphate ratio to try and aim for?

I'm going to be honest with you here, now that you are part of the family but worries about numbers cause more fails in this hobby than just about anything else.

That's about right after a week.
Remember.
If nitrate is 10 and you change 25 percent it will go down 2.5.
If it's 100 it goes down 25.
When you are that low already it's not going to go down much.

Go with something easy like zoas to start with.
