Morning everyone, so I have just acquired a new tank. It’s a 350 Gallon. My question for you guys is what do you use for return pumps and what size sump do you have?

This will be a salt water tank

hello and congratulations on the tank.

pumps like the Vectra with adjustable flow (VS), are reliable and convenient when it come to "dialing" in your return demand

the size of your sump, in most cases, is largely determined by "what fits". the bigger the better is a loose parameter

Is the sump going to be under the tank directly or in another room ie the basement?
If under the stand the jebaos are a great money saving option I have a few running.
In my last reef life I moved the sump to the basement and used reeflo pumps. I have heard others have issues with reeflo but the ones I used worked great.

I actually have two blue line aqua return pumps from my 300 that Im selling for cheap just to get rid of them to have some space back if you were interested? As I found when looking for return pumps they are super expensive! Lol

3600 gph jebao

I’m going to use this one on my 150 gallon when I get it set up. I’m going to have it run a flow pattern from 35-50%. The return that works best for your tank is based on your filtration. I’m going to get a rollermat that recommends 1800gph so even if I wanted to use a higher rated pump I would still have that limit unless I used 2

Sump will be below, unfortunately, being in Texas we do not have basements, which I have to say is one thing I miss about my house up north lol and the other thing is that the layout of the house doesn’t really work out for me to have the plumbing in the garage because there’s a room separation right in the middle of where I’d has to run the plumbing
