I got this skimmer used year - 2 years ago. This morning I was doing a deep clean, got it put back together, plugged in and primed. It is pulling water from the tank fine, but it's not generating bubbles. Took it offline, and apart to double check everything. Everything is tightly connected, air hose is not clogged. Any thoughts?

I'd like to keep this skimmer going a little bit longer.

Theres a couple little parts to the pump needle that are easy to misplace. That little red washer thing or the needle shaft rubber end cap. Also double check your diffuser plate above the pump. Just some ideas...

The air intake tube on the pump can get clogged with salt and not allow air into it. A small drill bit to clean it out by hand or soaking in some citric acid or diluted muriatic acid should take care of it.

My aquamaxx is about that same age... where the airhose connects to the pump is very flimsy and it dislodges very easily. I have a rubber band wrapped around mind to hold it in place, but even then I have to be very careful about how I install the unit back into the casing, it can still dislodge easily. Its actually very annoying, sometimes it takes me 2-3 tried to get back in right.

I took it apart again, all the pieces on the pump needle were there. The yellow air hose was tightly connected. I ran water down it, and it came out. Blew into it, and could hear the air coming through. I did not what looked to be a few mysis remnants in the sink. So maybe in cleaning, I inadvertently clogged it. It's working now.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions
