Im not going to make an argument of this. This is best left to MEDIC team in many cases. The statement you made was of concern but I think we recognized misconception and confusion

You said: Since he ate at the store, and in my QT (be it a slow start) by day 4 he was agreesively eating, in my case PE mysis. With zero concerns, at 15 days he went to the DT in an acclimatized box for 4 hours in light during afternoon.

I just don’t do any pretreatment provided I know the source and I transport which takes under 30 minutes.

At dusk he was released.
You’re right, better left to the Medic team.
Ridiculous, others have views too.

Think it’s safer in areas

Love copperbands! there’s always pyramid butterflyfish they still need love and are just as cute as copperbands, haha a joke but I still love them. Also quarantine yes it’s very inconvenient but also I find it as a way for me to bond with my fish more, make them try new foods, my teardrop is Picky and won’t try anything new, krill? What is that, hated pellets at first didn’t care for flake, I had to buy angel cubes with all these urchin sponge things to get it to eat took a week to like masstick I had to put it on clamshells. and then slowly now he will eat everything except krill :/ definitely watch your fish and the habits in quarantine it’s not a negative stage even if you lose fish, some of they just can’t deal and that’s alright

Copperband ate mysis well as that's been 95% of the food fed in QT. Today is day 30 of copper, and its still eating well. Didn't realize how much these fish like flow, as often swims into the little power head in the qt.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with this attitude. Having fish die in QT is a negative stage. Sure it happens but it is a negative when it does happen so no it isn't alright. Money is lost and a life is lost.
This type of attitude feeds the people trying to stop harvesting of fish for our hobby. JMO

Wouldn’t be so negative if you learn from the experience and correct your mistakes rather than focusing on the negatives like death and lack of money. Fish get caught by the billions from fishing boats, it’s sad but some reef fish aren’t strong enough to take it. Don’t buy sensitive expensive fish if you can’t keep them alive in quarantine if that’s such an issue for you.

Again we disagree. I've learned plenty from my experience and have no problem keeping sensitive fish like CBB without medicating them unnecessarily. Your way isn't the only way. You do you and I'll do me. This is my pair that have never been medicated so ya medicated QT is not the only way.

Oh they look gorgeous and yes I have never quarantine foxface rabbitfish, I find they don’t come with parasites as much as other fish like tangs but I mostly get angels and butterflies so I have to deal with parasites a lot especially w butterflies, i definitely think at the end of the day it comes down to the strength of the fish because an outbreak can happen to a fish that has or hasn’t been quarantine is just rather not take apart my tank to catch said fish to put in a quarantine when I can catch the sickness before

I personally would never quarantine a copperband. But then, I would never quarantine anything so don't go by me. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I like to keep them healthy enough so that they lay eggs.
