I’ll take a pic in a minute of the ballad end. It’s a normal female, like on any brick we plug 110 into that converts to dc.

That cayman(I'm pretty sure, I have 3) pendant is fine. It's the reef brite ballast that has unique connector. That fixture would plug right into a Hamilton, pfo, aqua medic ballastAre you saying this fixture is not designed for 250w?
Not at all. My comment was referring to changing out the cords. Are you saying this fixture is not designed for 250w?
What would be your suggestion to fix my dilemma ?That cayman(I'm pretty sure, I have 3) pendant is fine. It's the reef brite ballast that has unique connector. That fixture would plug right into a Hamilton, pfo, aqua medic ballast
Incorrect. I contacted Hamilton a few years ago about it . They gave it there blessings and pointed out in fact they at the time sold dimmable electric ballasts . And I ran 250 watt DE . Bulbs at 175 and no problems .I would not run the 250 watt bulbs at 175 watts. The bulb isn’t designed for that and will likely cause failure.
My 1st choice would be to buy these m80 ballasts(with pendants or not) and be done. They are the best, run at 300w, highly sought after. The only reason I haven't taken them is because I have a handful of spares and am trying to give someone else a shot at them. But it's been weeks,my finger is itching..What would be your suggestion to fix my dilemma ?

They do run different bulbs though, so you need to pay attention to that. This is the proper ballast for radium and pheonix bulbs(some ushio also).
My 2nd option would be to cut and splice. Just get er done.
Kansas - Dry Goods - 3, 250 watt metal halide HQI DE pendants and M80 ballasts. Barely used.
3 250 watt HQI DE metal halide pendants and M80 ballasts. Used only 6 months. All work perfectly. Comes with 6 month old 14K and 20K bulbs. $200 OBO. NO shipping.www.reef2reef.com
Offer him something extra to box them up and ship.. that price is a steal. Even a bare ballast kit is about a hundred each, but that's no m80 or no box that its assembled in. They don't make new m80 at all anymoreYeah, I would buy them but he won’t ship
