@stoney7713 @Peanut

Recommendations on a 3D printer?

And

What do you think is the best printer out there?
There's no one answer for everyone.

Depends, how much do you want to spend, what materials do you want to print, how are your problem solving and tinkering skills?

The Bambu mini is cute, but tiny. The A1 is nice, I've considered getting one myself, but there's no enclosure.

The P1S is what I have, the few upgrades @Peanut and I done makes it similar to the X1 carbon minus spaghetti detection, AI, lidar, and max higher bed temperature.

For the price of the X1 carbon you can get the P1S and AMS.

My experience is limited, I wouldn't mind trying the Prusa XL 5 head printer. But the price is crazy.

Now down to the Enders you see everywhere, they print!!! You have a larger learning curve, bed leveling, fine tuning temperature, retraction, or pressure advance settings, bed adhesion, offsets, feed rates, did the fan just stop, is that a clog, why is there a blob all over the hot end.

I started on an Ender 5 S1, I leaned a lot, spent a lot of time on my computer reading, problem solving, trying to maximize speed and quality. It prints almost as fast as the Bambu and almost as good. But it has more issues.

If you just want to explore and learn the ender isn't bad, but could frustrate people into quiting the hobby.

@Reefing_addiction I'll also add, printing is half the battle. There are a lot of nice models available, but being able to create your own or modify others in CAD is a whole nother level.

I tinkered with CAD years and years ago. Never learned it really. Now I'm learning Fusion 360 and have been for awhile. It's amazing but daunting. TinkerCAD is a good place to start. There's still a learning curve but it's geared to teaching people how to CAD. There's limitations to it, but it's where I started this time and it's nice.
