Price is low for 1hp IMO , basic bones ? how loud is it going to be ?
I might consider doing more research first, only want to buy once without regrets JMO
Good luck in your search... :)

I'm not concerned about noise, I have just shot them an email about using it for aquariums which they will probably say yes to no matter what but the seller has multiple pages of good reviews so im hopeful.

It says it has a titanium evaporator, and that it it's good for aquarium.. looks alot like the heat exchanger I bought for a windows unit chiller I'm going to build, except I'm going to split the unit and put condensing unit outside rather than pump tank water outsider or dump heat inside. I believe 12000 btu(1hp) is plenty enough for 500g(judging by hp/gallon rating of available chillers, I don't know the actual calculations). For $3xx, I would give it a shot

around 1700 litres, going to go with the 2hp
Well it is hard to get a good chiller for small money. I’ve tried cheap chillers and I should have saved my money for a good quality chiller. But if you buy one please post your review on the chiller

I am pretty confident 2hp is too big for 4-500g sys with 500gph going through the heat exchanger. What is your ambient temperature? The concern with too big is short cycling the compressor or freezing the barrel. My 1/3hp chiller, with 700gph throughout, will short cycle as soon as the barely dirty pump slows down. That's on almost 200g system with halides and led in closed canopy. Maybe someone smarter than me can crunch the numbers and give a 2nd opinion.. @BeanAnimal

Average temperature is around 20-11 degrees depending on what month it is, as the tank is in the garage. I might not need a chiller - water needs to be 16 degrees year round
