My new tank (96x36x25) has 4 drains that are 1.5". I will be doing 2 that will be full siphon (draining from the bulkhead), 1 that will be secondary and the stand pipe will set the water height and the oh poop drain that should be just below the euro brace (I assume). Should I plan on running a gate valve on each of the full siphons? With nothing on the secondary. Thoughts?

Lowe’s and Home Depot have them for less than $20

He's probably looking at Spears or Hayward valves

I'm not sure you want 2 full siphon drains in the same overflow box...

How many gallons per hour are you planning on running to display? How big is display?
@EeyoreIsMySpiritAnimal

Tank is built - it has 4 - 1.5" drains. If you asked me 6 months ago, I would have said 3-5 times display turn over. The display is 375G empty. Both my tanks (that will consolidate into this one) were both using rollers. In the last 60 days, by accident I stopped using rollers and my tanks really responded well. So, as it sits right now, my plan is to have 1 drain run through a roller and the other 3 (includes the oh poop) to simply run into the sump say hi to the skimmer and then back up in the display. If I am putting a gate valve on both full siphons, then I could slow them down. @EeyoreIsMySpiritAnimal would you recommend 2 secondary?

So my options are:
1) 2 full siphons each with a gate valve, 1 secondary and 1 oh poop
2) 1 full siphon with a gate valve, 2 secondary and 1 oh poop
3) ?

My tank is a peninsula and when I was deciding on a peninsula I talked to 2 people who both have very very similar sized peninsula. Both of which have 4 drain set ups with full siphons. But I forgot to look at their gate valve config.

What's the formular to figure out the math on gph down a full siphon 1.5"

Thanks for offering some insight, super helpful.

Not really... you basically have 2 secondaries already. If both main drains become completely blocked, in theory the secondary and emerg drain should handle the flow.

AHHHH - So, I could have 2 full and 2 identical secondary that also act as a emergency drain. I could lower the emergency drain to the height of the secondary. What are your thoughts on the 2 drains that would simply be bulkheads in the overflow box. Each on a gate? You questioned having 2 full siphons.

I would not recommend this.

Use one full siphon with valve.
Use two as secondary with no valves.
Use one as emergency.

The height of the secondaries should both be the same, and they determine the water level height in the overflow

CMIIW, The reason for the gate valves is to is to prevent air from being drawn into the flow

To quiet the draining, from gurgles, burps, and splashing sounds

If you have running water through the "secondary" without a valve, it will pull air, correct. Making noise

You want the emergency to make noise

I too would want to utilize all the holes

In the tank. Just the way I was made
