I’d imagine there are a lot of opinions out there. I use the Hanna checkers for phosphates (ULR), nitrates, and alkalinity. I know it’s $200 worth of test kits, but it’s worth it considering what they charge for coral these days. I’m sure there are people who would disagree, but I’m getting the results I’m looking for.

I didn’t like the first nitrate Hanna kit but apparently the next one was easier to use

I have heard Hanna calcium kit is a pita to use as well

Short answer, it's in poor shape or Was in poor shape. The flesh has been gone from that for a while. The skeleton is not freshly exposed.

While not impossible to come back from, you don't even have reliable parameters to go on at this point, so it's likely not getting better.

As we discussed. .
Water change to try to balance the Alk and stable parameters from this point on is the only chance the coral has .
Yeah I just did a water test im going to retest everything myself now and then go to the LFS tomorrow to double check then from there I’ll keep it as stable as possible

If I’m being honest I don’t know how, I’m very new to everything
When you’re ready and the main Alk is stable .
nitrates will reduce with water changes but phosphates will need some
Sort of media such as gfo or rowaphos

I use rowaphos in a mesh bag and use 1tbs per 10 gals of volume
Monitor phosphates and remove the media if phosphates get too

again I would worry about alkalinity first

Just finished my last tests and it seems like everything’s in a good range and checks out with my salt
Salinity: 1.025
Phosphate: .25
Nitrate: 5
Nitrite: 0
PH: 8.4 (I did get an actual reading this time)
Ammonia: .25
Cal: 380
Alk: 9

Im planning on monitoring daily for a while and keeping as stable as possible, hopefully I’ll eventually be able to report back with success!

My levels are
Ph: red (I was using API saltwater master test kit and it doesn’t match any levels on there??)
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: .5
Nitrate: 0
Phosphate: .5
Kh: PPM 53.7
Calcium: 320
Calcium to low 380-450ppm
DKH to low aim for 197ppm
Phosphate should be around .01- .08
Nitrite should be 0
Nitrate .05
Salinity 1.025 - 1.026
PH will be red if 8.1or higher
