if my qt tank salinty goes from 1.009 to 1.011 do i have to restart the counter after i get it back to 1.009? and what salinity would be considered too low?

You are supposed to. I would be less worried about 1.010 but 1.011 is too high. How long was it at that?

Please avoid cross posting as you take from others who too have concerns with their tank. As mentioned in other post, you are in range but if you want 1.009 specifically, simply add RODI water and bring it down right away. To raise you have to do slowly

It depends what you’re treating for, if it’s ich that’s a problem. If you’re treating for flukes 1.011 is fine.

Anything under 1.009 is too low.

I had to go dig. If this is for flukes (looks like it?) you are fine. Don’t go above 1.012 for flukes.
