What are the phosphate and nitrate levels of the pod and phyto solutions?I am also doseing a gallon of pods and over 2 gallons of phyto every week
That is a very good question that I don't know how to answer, because I use salifert for test kits, so I wouldn't be able to tellWhat are the phosphate and nitrate levels of the pod and phyto solutions?
Why can’t you test the solutions with the Salifert nitrate and phosphate kits? That is a very good question that I don't know how to answer, because I use salifert for test kits, so I wouldn't be able to tell
I have roughly 30 fish in a 300g. 7 tangs, rabbit fish, a bunch of wrasses, sand sifter goby, pygmy angels 3x banner fish (Heniochus Butterfly). A solid diversity of fish, in a softy dominate mixed reef. I add 2 sheets of Nori a day, 1 pinch (about a gram) of flake, and about 2 cubes worth of frozen mysis/spirulina as day and I skip a day each week on the flake and the frozen, sometimes I will skep 2 days if my algae is really blooming. High Nutrients is my experience has been directly and proportionately related to the amount of food I am putting into my tank.
I have not added pods in 8 months, they are still in there, reproducing on their own. I do not add phyto either but from everything I have read I do not think either of these can be easily overdosed.
I do hatch Brine Shrimp 2x to 3x a week.
And to test this is pretty simple. I don't think you will cause any stress on your fish if you cut the food amount in HALF for a week and see what happens with Po4 and No3.

No3 40ppm API test,
Po4 .20 Hanna Test.
