Gonna become a chore cleaning the glass and dealing with corals with so many jumpers now. With mostly the sand sleepers, I just had to wait until the afternoon when they dive into the sand and then its free range. I had to pull out an RBTA today, which I did with just the lid cracked (a challenge) and even then the exquisitus jumped ON TOP of the sticks and got stuck--turned the flow back on and he got himself out. Interestingly, the Carpenter's, a tiny little guy, was quite curious and came within a half inch or so swimming around my hand while I was tricking the nem into a foot massage.

I'm actually pretty psyched about that platygyra. Hope it grows in a dome. To me, a big ball of platygyra is a quintessential reef snorkeling sighting.

@tbrown I got that Roscolux filter swatch book and was playing with the different color filters. Picked one and cut a small square to put in my GoPro camera housing. Which # did you find works best? Hoping it makes things a little more clear on the GoPro this time--last time in Cayman everything came out with a bit of blue haze.

@tbrown I got that Roscolux filter swatch book and was playing with the different color filters. Picked one and cut a small square to put in my GoPro camera housing. Which # did you find works best? Hoping it makes things a little more clear on the GoPro this time--last time in Cayman everything came out with a bit of blue haze.

Check out some local shops and see if they have a red filter for the housing. I think I got mine from Backscatter.

I don't have one yet but I was told Straw was the best for our blue lights.

They make a special case for diving. I rarely use the gopro since the phone is so much more convenient. Aka bigger screen and better stills.
