So according to the graph you sent me a few weeks ago, that'd be a moderately aggressive wrasse? Never had wrasse before but I assume, like most fish, start with the peaceful first?
I've seen a lot of mixed reports on C. aquamarinus (solorensis). @i cant think has one. I think @luis angel has one, and I've seen others with this wrasse that haven't had issues with aggression. That said, each individual fish might be more or less peaceful. I even heard of one person's C. isosceles (typically shy, peaceful) being a super wrassehole. I would probably avoid mixing with others in the cyanopleura complex, and I might not even mix an Exquisite with the aquamarinus (obviously stay way away from Scottorum complex).

Hi everybody I have discovered new life in my tank at first I thought it was part of a rock but then it disappeared to the back part of that same edge of rock (still in front just went over the ridge of the lump it was on) and I need to id it it’s super small too….I tried getting the best picture possible this was it here

Welcome to The Office! We're serious reefers, here. And that looks like you've got an Aquilonastra starfish -- commonly referred to in the hobby as Asterina starfish, although that would only be true at the Family level. @Slocke I'm very disappointed. Very. Disappointed.

Anyway, some people find Aquilonastra stars to be a nuisance, and some find them good clean-up. They can reproduce rapidly. Some are said to eat certain corals like zoa polyps. Might want to either keep an eye on yours or just remove any that you see.

Do what I do, get as far as you can then add "whatever" to the end: aquilowhatever

you may slightly discredit yourself though. fortunately for me I have very little credit to dis.
Aquilo-, aquilo-, aquilo-nah gonna be in the tank anymore, lol

I stand corrected about the Exquisite. Looks beautiful, Luis! Love how the zoas and grandis palys are filling in!

Thanks friend, the zoas, especially the bam bam, are getting a little out of control hahaha but I love the colors they give to that side of the tank and the palys are super, I have grown a couple more cinnamon grandis

Don't feel bad about nuking some of those Bam Bam polyps. Kalk paste right on their face. Otherwise they can start surrounding your zoas or other corals and then they suffocate them--like they are doing to your Anacropora and encroaching on your magicians... that's how I lost my magicians. Was too late when I grabbed the magicans off and put them on a separate frag plug--they remaining polyps melted :-(

Looks like the seal on my extra sump weir wall for the refugium isn't so tight. Must have missed a spot in the silicone.

Fortunately looks like most of the big particles are being held in place. I'm putting down a layer of mud before adding the sand/mud mix.

I'm going to have to do it because they're taking over everything and I thought the magicians were just upset about something else and I didn't think about the bam bam

The red ones are Zoa eaters?
Really i think I might see a red one as well but how sure is it that it’s this spasific breed. Then again even the Red Sea star it says the same thing I think I can do a harlequin shrimp if things get too crazy they look crazy cool too lol I just googled it said that they only eat starfish and starfish only ️

Agreed. Try a Nardoa sp. starfish and fight fire with fire. They eats them, apparently.

fyi: I'll be adding one to my system, too. Thanks a lot, @Mschmidt ...

Think he's taking about the red head solon fairy wrasse / solar fairy wrasse /give-me-a-dam-name-and-stick-with-it wrasse:
Screenshot_20250124-085254.png

Was Cirrhilabrus solorensis but in true identity crisis fashion is now Cirrhilabrus aquamarinus.

@Slocke @i cant think can you confirm?
Definitely this. I’ve seen them called Clown Fairies over here before. It’s rare but it’s happened
