If it's the app controlled you can always send her the QR code for your current settings and she can adjust those.
The app controlled, I plugged it in and saved the QR code for it, but did see the button for factory reset and wondered if it would help or hurt the change of WiFi to hers.

It might not hurt. I know with Hydros it can't be paired to two different systems - it has to be uninstalled from the one before you can reinstall on the other.

I don't believe it's the same from Noops, but it's probably a good practice anyway.

Happy friday all. This weekend I’ve some stuff that needs to be done.

I need to find a better way to cover the 70. I’d love another kraken lid but I still haven’t gotten or finalized placement of any powerheads. The small gyres I’m looking at shows in the ‘zon as a “frequently returned item.” And it’s mostly because an error code or the loud high pitch whine. Which, I can’t have that it’ll drive my dogs absolutely nuts and I can’t stand electrical whines. Anything else is just too high in price.

Oh and OIAIO messaged last week saying that this past Monday they would ship out the skimmer pump :) I was so worried I’d need to go another route. I’m looking forward to getting this going. For no other reason than to help with some oxygenation.

I may also get some socks for the sump. I’m using printed cups but the floss isn’t catching what needs caught. The display has a constant cloud with particulates. I can see em lol.

Sideshow Bob has been in the anemone when it opens even a little. At night it’s still solidly closed up but soon as we turn on light for coffee it starts to poke some little fingers out and Bob goes right for it lol. Selma stays in her barnacle.

Taxes came back and Hubbs said that since I was saving, and had to use what was saved up for grown up stuff (adulting isn’t fun sometimes but we need to eat and power lol) that it was mine. So I’m trying to decide what to do. It’s not a whole lot and I can’t do everything but here’s my options.

Option one: Go for broke and order the Eden I want. Pros- it’s an Eden. Cons- it’ll eat my finds and I’d still need to get a filter, substrate and decor. Plus it’s 18x18x18 and idk if that’s big enough for the macs. I may need to try for the 30

Option two: get the kraken lid and filter for the 10 gallon. Pros- it’s a kraken lid and canister filter/heater for the 10 gallon. Cons- I’m not sure if I want that exact filter and I’ve kinda gotten distracted looking. lol.

Option three: Find some wavemakers and a lid solution for the 70. Pros- finishing that setup. Cons- I’m still on the fence about everything I want/ need.

My issues are that it’s not a great large amount and I can’t do not one of these things. I do have the macs reserved for spring. Eden ships out March 31st. The 10 gallon is working, with the setup now. I do need a better lid and I did discover I could get a small kit and it would work just fine cause they’re not very jumpy. But what I have is working. The 70 does need wavemakers but I don’t think the lids quite a priority since the damsel isn’t jumpy either. I’m basically having it covered til she gets used to it.

I’m also irritated I missed the Waterbox sale. If y’all had about 500 what would you do in my situation?

All this gives me a headache. lol.

I did the diy kit from BRS for my lids for my 125g. And I printed more corners so I could zig zag around the returns. I know not as amazing as a kraken lid but more left in the budget for other things is nice.

In pieces or is it small enough it'll fit on the print bed, or do you have a huge printer?!
Mine is a 320mm print bed and the tank is 11.8" so I should be able to do 1 full print.

Actually, it looks like it's 300mm which is 11.8"... I may have to print corner clips separately and print the screen top in one piece. The screen should be ~290 mm without the clips.

Hygger makes a good product. The 25 watt wavemaker would work. It's very budget friendly while not being made cheaply.
Link?

So that wouldn’t print a 10 gallon lid would it? (Standard size but idk what that is XD)
Also thanks for the tag!

That looks really nice! I’ve looked at that. I’ve also seen on the zon some “magnetic” screen kits.

I think Sam ended up printing a bigger printer for his printer. Or maybe his CNC... I dunno.
I wasted a bunch a $ on an ender extender kit to make a 16”x16” ender. Think I’ve actually used it to make only two extra large XR30 shades and an extra large UPC code for my parlaquatics sign.

Even with bed leveling it’s a bear to use. Sometimes smaller with better action is the way Togo.
