Good morning all!

While doing research, I found a ton of information on Maroon clowns and their aggressive nature, and was wondering if they would be aggressive enough for one of my 350g FOWLRs. Has anyone kept/tried to keep Maroons in with any of the following? Were you able to keep a nem with them, or was it harassed by another tankmate?

TRIGGERS (not undulated, titan, or queen)
LARGE WRASSE
LIONFISH
TANGS
LARGE ANGELS
PUFFERS
EELS (ZEBRA OR SNOWFLAKE)

I know these are larger clownfish, even the males get to be close to 4", and most females I've heard tipping the ruler at 6-7". Based on my research thus far, I wouldn't dare putting them in anything calmer then my neutral FOWLR.

Thoughts?

Blessings all :)

From what I have read, if you want all your other fish to die a painful death, go ahead and throw in a maroon. . . it will just be a matter of time. . .

But in all seriousness, yeah a maroon is probably a good, if not the best, choice for an aggressive clown that should be able to hold it's own. . . Keep in mind that is just from what I have read as I have never kept anything close to your stocking haha. Good luck and bump.

I kept a pair with tangs, melanurus and red head Solon wrasse, blue throat and Niger trigger with no problems. The maroons had their area claimed and other than trying to keep the other fish away it was fine. I never had them terrorize anyone but me lol. I couldn't keep coral on their rocks the female would rip off anything I glued down. This was in a standard 150g
