Just bought a new light from BRS a Maxspect Ethereal Infinite LED Aquarium Light Fixture E8-230.

Having issues 2/3 through day it's beeps and shuts off. Fan is working. I'm using about 30% of the power. Anyone else having any problems with this lighting system?

This the first full day of use. BEEP and off. Can turn it back on with app. Also app for this light is not nearly as easy to use at mobius.

Thanks for any help or advice.

I posted about this. I ordered two units. One of the units kept doing the same thing and disconnecting from network. You can try to reset it. Customer support from Maxspect are responsive, but could never get it to work. I just asked BRS today on their chat about an exchange. They emailed me a UPS return shipping label. They can't replace right now. Out of stock till end of Feb 2025. You can ask for refund as well.

1) Power off the light;
2) Power on the light again, and wait till the start up flashes finishes;
3) Then Press and hold the right button for 5 seconds, till there is a beep sound, and the working indicator flashes 3 times,
and till the working indicator turns yellow, and all light channels become 100%.

I unplugged it for a few minutes, plugged it back in and held the right button down for a few seconds. The mood light starts to go all rainbow and the lights go 100% so you know you are done resetting.

Remember to press and hold both left and right buttons again to activate the Network pairing mode. Will have to load up your saved auto profile or you can just adjust e everything individually again.

My light was doing this for a while, off and on repeatedly one night without real reason. I took it down cause I was gonna return it, and changed my mind and tried it again. Once I put it back up it acted fine.

Today, I think my app updated on my phone, but the light started acting up again. Beeped, turned off for a few seconds, then back on. When I opened the app it said the light was "unbound." I tried a couple of things, but in order to get it working again I had to power the light and my phone off and back on, then try to add a new device in the app. I selected the light, and it just walked me through the settings like it was new. It didn't reset all the settings (strange), but allowed me to reconnect it to the wifi and the app. I didn't delete the old device, but it wrote over it when I followed that process.

I need to remember this for the next update the app has.... Hoping that the update means they are working on the current issues.
