Suspended a rack above the tank to I could freely move lights around without more holes in my ceiling. Just perforated metal angles, some chain and hooks. Tank has some nitrate going now, as I added a bunch of uncured pukani rock. Going to get macro algae going today to start cleaning it up. Hopefully I won't need to change any water and it will be ready for some tough frags soon.

Wow, I haven’t updated in a while...this happened:
  • The cycling happened, the nitrate was at 50ppm+ for a while.
  • Added extra macro algae from my display. Chaeto, red grape, gracilarium, codium
  • Meanwhile I started a skimmer going, which overflowed like crazy for days
  • Nitrate hit 0! Had to test twice.
  • Added some carbon and moved the macro to a Chaeto reactor instead of under the t5s.
  • Added 5 lines for dosing ATO and triton 4-part
I have a bunch of hardy frags in there now. Green birdsnests, torches. I’m watching them closely. Going to test the phosphates tonight and see if they are also 0. Will be adding some snails and fish soon to get the bio load up.

Here are some shots from today. Until now I’ve just had my army of green birdsnests getting things ready. Some real frags were added today, so it’s do or die time. The tank is doing well, I’m just using the t5 right now, but may get the halide going soon. I’m going to add a sun coral I’ve under fed in the main tank to start getting some food in there. Tests are now 0 across the board, so it’s time for food and maybe fish next week.

Here are some of the first frags. Look good for the day after shipping. Can’t wait to see them grow. Pics taken right under the 400w radium I’m keeping them under. And I tossed in an anacropora frag I’m keeping under T5 because I love that coral.

an up date on this would be great.
Also can you release the drawing for the 3D printed frag rack?
