Awesome tank!

Question for you, what did you use as a mounting item for those pumps? Was it something you purchased or made yourself?

Hey

Sorry-I havent posted. Been meaning to upload the photos from the glass build to get it up, but haven't had time.... too many things.

Update-
Ugly stage originally didnt last very long maybe 4-6 weeks, I think.
I had stocked up with corals and got a lot of nice SPS in. Just as it was getting to the good stage, I had a problem!

I had a sea hare in the tank, which I was warned might cause an issue, but before I removed it, I happened to find it dead in the tank, just as i was doing my morning look and going off to work. Agghhhh!

I couldn't really roll my sleeves up and I was getting late, so instead of netting it out, I got the grabber and grabbed it...... out poured some black juice!!
No bother, I thought and went off to work. When I got back, I saw two sps frags had started to RTN from the base. Early tank syndrome (lol) I thought!, so wasn't too worried, until the next morning.... my birthday!

Came down and about 60% of the SPS had stripped!! All LPS were fine!

Anyway, cut a long story short, my SPS crashed over 2 days and i lost all SPS.
I watched my Nitrate and Phos rise from 5 & 0.05 over the course of a few weeks, but more interestingly, all the rocks went back into a full on new tank cylce with dino's, then hair algae, then brown algae and then fade again over 6 weeks. absolutely amazing to watch it cycle again and settle down.

About May time, I started restocking SPS and getting good growth etc. and the tank has settled well since then. All ICP's were fine, so I'm guessing the dead Sea hare has some potent badness in it!

Other than that, I have switched from Kalk to Bolus, back to Kalk and now that the Kalk can't keep up, I've switched to full time bolus method, at least for now! lol.

I'll try and get a few videos up and then try and catch up with the photolog ! lol

I note that many of you can't get the instagram videos I've posted. For anybody that is on Youtube, I should be on the Reefers Network this Friday night around 8pm and will talk about the tank set up etc and whatever anyone wants to talk about. See if you can come onto that for a catch up? The Live chat on there is quite lively too!

Cheers

Do you mean the Abyzz Cannons?
They have 2 optional mounting items- a clamp or a heavy duty magnet.

I bought the Magnets for the 2 pumps- you attach one part to the pump body and the other outside of the tank.

Mo, thanks for the big update sorry to hear about your sps crash. I’ve heard those sea hares can nuke a tank, glad it didn’t take everything out.

The instagram post above was after you lost the sps? If so that’s crazy how much growth has happened in such a short time.

Apologies, that was a poor description. I was curious about the pumps that are hanging from the brace by some sort of pipe?

Hey- they are aquarium pump oscillators that rotate the pumps around. They create very nice random flow.
