ok so I need to pick up a hose clamp (small drippy leaky from the return.

I guess I also forgot to glue two pieces together - that likely occurred when my a hole cat decided now was a good time to knock everything over because why not!

Everything else looks good to go! The Jebao DEP pump is interesting. Def don’t need it running at 100% - can’t change modes from the app. Or I’m not smart enough to figure out how! Took me a minute to figure out which mode was constant…..and then turned it way down and adjusted the gate valve accordingly……will drain the tank in the morning …. Plan is to go to the LFS as soon as they open to start the hauling of water….

I’ll pick up the ATO tomorrow afternoon

Have a rough idea of how lights will be hung…..thank you @F i s h y

So the question is how long after I add live rock from my sump can I start swapping corals?

The key to moving will be parameter based. Your new water will have very little po4 and no3 in it. You will starve anything you move over if done to quickly...

Dry rock is either going to act like a phos sponge, or be saturated w phos from get go 1 or the other, most likely a phos sponge... ;) :)

Should I add my dirty socks to the sump as well?

Should I feed the tank a couple times?

I’ll definitely make sure to add some corals that I’m ok with losing at first!

And I guess this would be the time to order a fish or two that I want to add so I can put them in before I move Mr. A Hole Purple Over

yes ,yes, and no, wait on fish till you can assure no ammonia spike... ;):)
I wish I had MORE live rock to add to the new tank….may see if any local people have some stuff

I also figure I can get a ship date for the new fish that’s 2 weeks out???

Last time I did a tank swap everything went to the new tank so there were no concerns

I think I can remove all of the rock from at least one side of my current tanks sump - so about half. Even the newer stuff in the sump is growing coralline algae

Purple tang should be last one to go in.
Anything dirty is a good way to go.
Getting rock from other sources helps, but you have to be aware of the tanks history. I only get rock and coral from people I know and trust at this point.

Salty wet……my second favorite kind lol threw in a couple more unions for s&g. Moved grey unions up still not a bad visual. Threw in some coral snow to help bind all the crud floating in the water. May or may not adjust flow from return pump down a bit more….currently running at 60%
