Excited that the Reefer 350 MAX system I ordered over Memorial Day was delivered this afternoon. Creating this thread to track the journey.

I had a 70g reef tank until 2010 when I broke the tank down to prepare for moving from NC to TN. Decided to get back in the hobby about a month ago and bought an established 10 g reef tank and to order something like I had before.

We’ll, here is how it came:

In the process of unboxing and will put the stand together tonight. More to come…

Cabinet assembly was a bit of work, but is finally finished.

Well, my first oops was putting the feet on. I used white because I didn’t see a bag of black ones. Realized today that the dog had knocked them off into the box. Hang up removing those things… Also, how do you like the sliding panel? I’m still in the air if I’m going to use mine or not.

I thought it was strange they would provide black and white feet. I figure most would just want to match the cabinet color.

I like the panel so far, but time will tell. Will make access easier though I plan to mainly use the app. It will require keeping more wire loose to allow for it sliding out. Planning on mounting the power bricks on the opposite side (divider panel) above an ATO reservoir.

Going to go with ~75 lbs of fully cured live rock this weekend from a LFS. So hopefully the cycle will be short!

I don't understand the current trend of using dry rock and bacteria to cycle.
I was one of the ones who did dry rock and bacteria, haha. It wasn't too bad of a cycle, but I'll be doing live rock in my next tank, that is for sure.

Picked up some coral stands from a local reefer.

And the Simplicity 10g ATO reservoir arrived today. It fits nicely. Awaiting a new refugium light and the sump setup will be complete.

7/8 in. ID x 2 ft. PVC Disposal Discharge Hose from Home Depot. It's a tight fit but putting the tubing in boiling water first makes it very pliable. Then secured it with plastic hose clips.

I first tried 1" ID clear plastic tubing but it was too loose. Leaked even when clamped.
