Latest update from 2/24 -

Hi everyone,

The vessel carrying ReeFi cargo docked at Seattle port on 2/20. Because this shipment does not fill an entire 40ft container, my cargo share a container with others. US Customs need to clear everyone’s shipment in that container before they will release anything. Now, we’re waiting for US Customs to clear before deliver to my location.

I know it’s been a long journey, but we’re almost there.

Dana...I'm sure you tested the radion G5 XR30 pro/blue and the Orphek Atlantic V4.....how does your testing rank these 3 in terms of overall performance? I'm talking about the ReeFi Uno in comparison to the G5 XR30 and Atlantic V4, (not the XR15 or compact).

Just browsing their website I found this:
They told me after missing my initial freight schedule, to expect late Jan. I’m checking on the option of shipping my pallets separately to get some sooner. When I get my new confirm freight schedule, I’ll update you guys again.
Add Chinese New Year into the mix......not surprising really.

Looking forward to Wednesdays setup as I received tracking info!
I’m going to hang mine so I might prep that so it’s an easy install on Wednesday.

I have 2 duo extremes on my 525xl, my goal is to have an easy crossover from qt tank to display.

Any info on comparing to AB+ settings?

I just received 6 for my 48" x 35" lagoon. Will be mounted on T Slot aluminum with 3 rows of 2 lights. I am excited to be able to control the spread of each light versus having 2 pucks on 1 unit. I'll post pics when they are all setup.

Here are 4 of mine mounted. I am waiting on another T Slot wall mount to mount another row of 2 lights. They are mounted 9" above the water line and will probably raise them an inch or two when I remount them.

Love these new lights and boy are they powerful. You need to watch the 400 & 420nm as they do not add alot of "brightness" but add tons of Par. I dialed them in with my Apogee MQ-510. When I dialed them in by eye I was hitting 600 par on the sandbed in the middle of the tank..

Not sure what else you would want from a light, huge room to play with colors because of the power output, no...absolutley no Disco on the sand, dead silent, no glare, many mounting options with T Channel and no crappy app to control them, ect.

Those of us that got in at the pre-production promo got a steal.

Sweet! Looks super! I bought a bunch and they are sitting in the boxes until I have a tank done. My first impression when I lifted a box of 4 lights was WOW these suckers are heavy!! I think the box weighed about 40 pounds!

Here’s my new Reefi Uno, hanging from a 9’ ceiling with a 3/16 toggle bolt. Approximate weight for the toggle bolt is 150lbs.
Currently have them on a 75% (30 day) acclimation period.

Here are my settings for the Uno and Extremes. My goal is to have the frag tank as similar as possible to the main. F79032AC-D764-4C5A-B176-5D7C60C0BDEA.jpeg DA5AB2BA-7C40-4A08-8840-7255D56A40A6.jpeg

I like how it shows relative levels of the different color spectrums on the top graph. Are you trying to match overall par AND spectrum distribution? Interesting comparison between the two with the sliders set to the same levels for each color.

Yes I am kind of trying to match the best I can without a true PAR meter. I do have a lux meter but I only used it to compare the previous light vs. Uno on the frag.

Added 2 more Unos... now running 6 on a 48"x35"x20". Love how I can change the front to rear spread as opposed to having a fixed 2 puck design. I can really cover the whole depth of the tank now...have sps from front to back. The T slots in the 2040 mounts hide the wires well too.
