No, mine were much more transparent/white. I just got them locally from Salty Underground here in St Louis. They seemed healthy and active, but maybe not as mature or well fed as yours. Here’s pics of my berghia on arrival from TK. Did yours look like this ?
Florida - Berghia Nudibranch Breeder with 1/4"-1/2"- 3/4"-1" Size SHIPPING AVAILABLE
I am experienced with berghia and have made large orders from the website vendors several times over the last 5 years as berghia are my preferred method of aiptasia control. I have also sold berghia in the past I wanted to give my business this time to a community member and give them a chance...www.reef2reef.com
I worry for my zoas and blastos. I actually had great success a while back with an aiptasia eating file fish, but he decimated my zoa colonies and chewed on some other softies. So I’m hesitant with fish these days
Have you tried a scat? It’s a brackish water fish. I acclimated a couple of them to saltwater and turned them loose in my tank. All of my Aphasia was devoured within 2 weeks never to be seen againHow / where did you add them? Do you have a large wrasse ?
Thanks, I might be in touch. We are expecting a baby soon, so might hold off a couple weeks…Yeah salty underground definitely has issues with aiptasia so I’m sure they have a lot of Berghia lol. If you’re looking to get rid of it I could trade you some coral. I’m local to St. Louis too
Congratulations!! That’s so exciting! Thanks, I might be in touch. We are expecting a baby soon, so might hold off a couple weeks…
You impress the hell outta me. So knowledgeable and willing to share said knowledge is a real treat. Thank you! When you put the 6 in they should be grouped together. Within a 3-4” area. And lights off. If they are too far apart, they won’t find each other to start munching on aiptasia tighter. So place close together and near aiptasia. And in your case, the inner depths of that colony to protect them in the first week or two
You’re welcome. You impress the hell outta me. So knowledgeable and willing to share said knowledge is a real treat. Thank you!
