Just thinking you're going to try and run that only over the sandbed but it isn't going to be that simple. You can't let the light touch anything that's living, right?

Correct. I need to move any corals off the sandbed (easy since most have died) before using.

Sweeper has a shroud over the bulb which restricts the direction of the light downward. Whole kit is made by 3D Reefing specific for this purpose.

Is your sandbed completely flat? I just feel like you're going to have to move so much stuff around it'll have an adverse affect. Let us know how it goes. What about fish?

I don’t have that much space between my rocks and my glass so that would never work for me

You need the resin packer from @stoney7713 . Save time, makes it lot easier, and you can pack the resin tight
