Thoughts on either?

It will depend on the tank placement and viewing angle. Jaxracks looks like it is the back of the display whereas the Fiji cube is using the shorter side wall which would make it a peninsula style. Both of those look nice thus my viewing angle comment. Maybe other members have experience with either.

I have no experience with either but actually setting up a 40 breeder as well. I am using an overflow to tie it to my existing system though. So it is drilled.

I have a 40 breeder, have had it for a couple years now, and use a hang on back aquaclear filter, jebao wavemaker and an in tank skimmer, and the heater is in tank. I didn't know this even existed!! Will be following, to see what you choose, and how it turns out! =)

would you want a peninsula style, or a regular aio style look?

peninsula style would use less internal space which in turn would provide more swimming room for the fish. the jaxracks would limit swimming room.

My 40b has a DIY AIO across the back, and it’s working great so far. Like others mentioned, placement/viewing would determine which one to go with.

I would not go with JaxRacks. That dude scammed me and then I had to put in a claim through eBay because he was ignoring me and eBay investigated my claim and refunded me. All of a sudden he wants to start communicating again after that
