People use AI Primes on a 20 gallon as an example, which is 55 watts, so you want something in the 50-60-ish watts range to provide sufficient light on a 20 gallon tank

I’ll take your advise is there a way to make sure it doesn’t suffer if I take it out of should I try to put it in a smaller tank and see if better lighting will work
I appreciate your compassion.

An Anemone is a simple nervous system and a gut basically. A quicker demise seems the most humane.
Judging from that one image I feel that, that anemone is already decaying. At this point lighting will not make a difference unfortunately.
If you decide to get another Anemone we can recommend lighting fixtures for you.

How do you humanely kill an anemone? I don't think you can.

Would either try to get another light ASAP or rehome it.

Do you have a budget? To maintain an Anemone the lighting is going to be probably around 150.00 min. The skies the limit on lighting though.

Likely causes are elevated phosphate and too much or too little light in which the nem will expel its zooxanthellae which gives it color and energy
