I’m looking to drop mine down to 4X the total volume so I don’t have to add another pump in the sump for a UV. I am limited on space and would have to remove some of the LR which I really don’t want to do if I don’t have too!

I have 3 tanks running but I couldn't tell you the turnover rate on any. I can't even tell you the output of my pumps and wave makers. Crazy right? I set the return flow so the tank water height is where I want it for a quiet overflow. In tank flow is powerheads set so corals get the flow they need. It's trial and error and varies from tank to tank depending on the type of coral being kept.

EDIT : I also watch how the food blows around in the tank when I feed.
