the frame of the stand is done and i hope to get it to my friend that is going to be doing all the wood work on it in the next week or so. as for my tank it has been ordered but will be taking 4-6 weeks to build....there are 23 tanks to be built in front of mine that fish store just ordered....:sad:

oh well gives me more time to paint and stain the stand once i get it back!!

Wow impressive, I like the design of the sump it's very well thought out.

I'll remember that when I redo my sump to put in slots for probes.

Thanks everyone, now I'm playing the waiting game. The tank I being built, the stand is being "skinned", and everything else is done that I can do until they r done.

I'll get pics of the stand posted when I get them from the person doing te work.

I sure wish that tank builder would hurry up.
I know that it is killing you to have most everything sitting and not being able to put it all together.
It's worth the wait!
But remember, you can come over and drool all over my 180 for the time being.
Please bring a wipe cloth though :)

It's worth the wait!
But remember, you can come over and drool all over my 180 for the time being.

here is the wood working on the stand so far.....should be done next week and then i can stain/poly/paint it!!

ato is being built as well!! i have the basic box done with the ledge for the aqua lifter to sit on. the lid is going to have a john guest fitting in it with a piece of rigid tubing going to the bottom to pull the water up and soft tubing out the top going into the aqua lifter. it looks great so far and now i am one step closer to being done!!!​

ok so i have done a few things....

got the sand for the tank....140 lbs of bahama oolite

got the foam pad for under the tank/sump/pump/ATO/kalk stirrer

pvc parts i ordered came in and i built the manifold, started on the duraso style overflow, and some of the return going into the sump.....and thoughts concerns?


also went a saw my new stand and it looks awsome!!! the doors need to be completed and the canopy has bee started! the hinges have been ordered. the tank should be done in a couple weeks!!! i cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!
