1st saltwater tank. New to forum

I just picked up a JBJ Unibody LED for the tank last week so here is what im working with so far. The cycle/curing is complete, and today i added a Bam-Bam zoanthid to see how it will do.
I want to get the sump going before i start adding more corals permanently.

Your tank is coming along nicely.I like the creative placement of your sump.May I ask you what type of freshies do you keep?

Thank you. The sump is not hooked up. Not sure if in going to use that sump and skimmer on my 90 reef ready tank or the 44 here. Im a little worried to have a hob overflow. I was alao considering hob skimmer and refugium and ditch the sump idea on this 44.
I also have a couple oscars and a few other xommunity tanks. Turtles living in community tank too imagine that. No eating fish. Weird

I guess you could go either way.I personally would prefer a regular skimmer as they seem more efficient.Your hex is really deep though and I can see why you may have to go with that option..A refugium will be a nice addition!

I have raise a few Oscars before.Some of them I miss,others not so much.Your turtles must be Aquarist,lol.

I LOVE THIS TANK! FUTURE PLANS ARE TO ADD A PROTIEN SKIMMER, MAYBE A HOB REFUGIUM. AND ATO WITH KALKWASSER. MIGHT NEED TO GET A AQUARIUM CONTROLLER TOO..

THIS TANK HAS BEEN A JOY TO OWN AND HAS INSPIRED ME TO START A LARGER TANK! MY OTHER TANK IS A 125 AGA CORNER OVERFLOW AND A BEAUTIFULL CHERRY STAND AND HOOD! I AM USING THE AQUATIC LIFE 72'' T5 FIXTURE WITH ATI BULBS. IT HAS A TRIGGER EMERALD SUMP AND A VERTEX OMEGA 180 SKIMMER. KESSIL REFUGIUM LIGHT. CALCIUM REACTOR AND GYRE WAVEMAKERS.

IM DEFINITELY LEARNING A LOT AND CAN SEE HOW THIS IS ADDICTIVE BECAUSE YOU CAN NEVER MASTER REEF KEEPING BUT YOU CAN ALWAYS DO BETTER!
