I was going to go with the smaller reef saver rocks but decided on the large pukani to create a large center island w a carved cave, and smaller lps islands in the sand around itwishing we would have forked over the cash for Pukani when we set our tank up. But not unhappy with our BRS reef saver - can't make holes in it though but were able to put in some rods to create an arch
Two tanks in two weeks!!! It's kinda epic for this to happenLots of fun setting this one up and it looks very nice! Excited to see it all ready and going
Nice! Looks good! Hey how much flow did u have? A lot? Right now i have a fluval 306 going and a cheapo hydor. I am going to get a bigger pump from amazon soon. To help blast all that **** out of the rock!Looks good! Your rock may make the water turn a bit yellowish and give off a strong odor for a week or so. It's completely normal with dead live rock like Pukani from BRS.
I personally just cycled 40 lbs of dry Pukani from BRS relatively quickly. I'm in the process of curing another 40 lbs of Pukani to throw into the DT (display tank).
Thanks again for the help. It was a good day, yes!Lots of fun setting this one up and it looks very nice! Excited to see it all ready and going

My 44g tank is probably 3/4 done cycling. I added this 3300gph pump to blast the pukani and My friend scabbedwings616 came over and helped me test it and gave me some amonia to dose. Gonna be ordering my kessil a360w in a few weeks too. Im going to have my friend master carpenter build me a mahogany stand custom designed around the sump im building (or buying) havent decided yet. But im going to add a hob overflow. A refugium and skimmer in sump and a mp10 wavemaker. I love this tank
