Oooh, how much? [emoji14]
Well ..you US guys and gals likely $250 US.... Canadians ...$4000:)
Will give my opinion after I use for a month or two...but so far pretty sweet!
40 to 1600 power.
Awesome picture on screen...no more squinting in eye piece.
5 megapixel pics or video to sd card in scope.
Lots of bells and whistles...Costco.ca...but likely Costco.com too.

Calling all Reefers:)!
So this tank is in my office.
Put a dedicated sump room down stairs.
My sump room is dead...I mean DEAD silent.
My office however sounds like Niagara Falls!!!
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Why my great grand dad settled in Alberta Canada I will never know????
Took an airboat tour through your amazing everglades!
OMG...I want to live on a house boat there!

Are these reef Safe?
My 150 lb Akita has gone missing...but I'm sure he will show up:)!

Too much water going down the second overflow (my uneducated guess). Can you open up the main drain a bit? I'm assuming you have a valve on that.

Yes...that was part of the problem. I cheeped out on valve and did not put gate in..put handle valve in and very difficult to fine tune:(
Other problem was variable levels in sump. Put a Neptune ATK in and way better now with consistent water level:)
Surprising how pump would pump different volumes of water if sump changed as little as an inch in depth.
Thanks:)

That's interesting. I haven't noticed that I'm my setup. Smaller than yours, but still close to 150g total water volume and the sump in the basement with the tank on the main floor. My return section drops by 1-2 inches a day.

So when the water level was lower than return flow was weaker?

Yes.
But seams most of the water noise was caused by the placement of my vortechs. I had them on the lagoon mode and it would create surges in my tank.
So more water would drain in surges and cause the noise.

Very nice!

It probably shouldn't be right under that light switch. And I think that you need to connect it to pipes to get water out of it.

If you do that, then connecting it to a drain will make it a lot less messy too.

I'm following. This is going to be interesting. That looks like a roll-around tool chest. Being a tool guy, they rust easily, so I'm interested in how you'll keep it from rusting.

EDIT TO ADD:

Pictures added since I started typing....looks like the wheels were taken off the tool chest.
I use a rolled steel entertainment center for my stand... covered it with laminate clear contact paper... works well overall but sometimes crevices will rust where the metal is exposed

Good idea:)!
I don't see any rust yet and don't anticipate any unless a major flood:(
My sump is downstairs so most spills are there. I will watch closely and if any issues I have seen a spray on rust inhibitor that I could use on joints.
Its powder coated as well.
