Great info. What are good ones to buy that don't spread like weeds or smother other corals?

Cynarina. For the simple fact I can't get enough of them now!
I'm yet to have a coral regret based in negativity haha.

as far as GSP, i have heard that if you put it on one big old rock away form all the other rocks it'll stay on that one. is that true? they wouldn't grow like, along sand would they?
There are varieties of GSP. Some branch and will creep off the island but I see the non branching type much more often. I have mine on a main peice of rock work and just go in and shape it up a bit. I glue it back on the rock sometimes in another location I would like it to fill. I treat it like a bonsai I guess. I like it.

Lol. You know what I meant. He is a good fish. But he did jump out one time and was out of the water for a long time. Was stuff and dry. I put him in a cup of water for the fun of it and he came back to life. No idea what made me do that. But he was out of the water for at lest several hours.

Just wasn't his/her time

Corals with unwanted guest. Once you drop a chunk of change on them and dip and see all the nasties fall off, do you risk it? I quarantine but if it's a hot coral going to die in quarantine I get regret what ever choice I make.

Blue Clove Polyps. Completely took over my tank. I killed most of them off but I have a huge rock I just can't bring myself to eradicate. Moved to a 40g breeder - the "Clove Tank".

I'm new but I bought a mushroom with hair algae on it. It wasn't smart of me...

Blue Cloves, hands down. Still have them! I've got some fluke tabs too but I'm too scared to do the treatment.

I always buy open brain corals and never have any success any suggestions?

Open brain can mean a whole bunch of different species. Can you be more specific? Maybe start a new thread to get more specific answers :)
