Today I am removing the Bio Pellet Reactor from my system. Its not that I don't think its working, its that every single day about 100 times a day the reactor locks up. I have cleaned it out multiple times and still no luck. I am going to run without it for a little while and see what happens.

I just did the same thing since it clogged up. But now I've noticed that I get insanely fast algae growth on the glass. I used to go 3-4 days without needing to clean the glass, now it's daily. Going to put mine back online asap

oh darn lol. Do you think it could be clogging because of the pump thats attached to it is to small? I was talking to a local fish store owner and he recommended a larger pump but i dont want to dump money into it if im still going to have these issues.

I had it running off a manifold from my return, but the inlet was completely clogged when I took it offline to clean. I hooked it back up using a 300 gph pump and it didn't even think about churning. So yea, I'd use a big pump to get it going.

Alright so I have been out of the hobby for a minute I feel like. Haven't really done much with the tank its been up for almost a year and a half now and nothings really doing much. I have a algae problem in my frag tank one of my wp-40s died on me the power supply, and my filefish recently passed away so i have a major aiptasia issue going on. I got some 2 part bionics and started dosing but went on vacation and stopped as my readings were all out of wack. couple of nice chalices died everything else still okay. so yeah nothing exciting going on at all time to get back into the swing of things...

So here's my push to get things back going again:

1. I bought a CP-25 for the 60 gal frag tank. Im hoping this helps with the algae issue. ill run this pump and maybe the wp-40 and wp-25 if i need to.

2. I bought a hefty clean up crew:
  • Sand Cucumber QTY:1
  • Astraea Snail QTY:150
  • Cerith Snail QTY:150
  • Ninja Star Snail QTY:100
  • Blue Leg Hermit Crab QTY:100
  • Peppermint Shrimp QTY:50
  • Red Leg Hermit Crab QTY:120
  • Emerald Crab QTY:8
  • Brittle Star QTY:1
3. Bought new RODI and Filters starting fresh on the RODI side of the fence

4. Going to purchase new test kits and start dosing bionics 2 part.

When I get cash:
Buy Dosing Pump for 2 Part
Buy FileFish

lets see what we can do
