Glad to hear they are doing well. You'll have a full-on male in no time at all!

Sadly, we lost 2 XL males. The first one did not make it 24 hours, the second, less than 48. We really don't know what happened as both were beautiful specimens. On a good note, our trio of ladies from LA DD are doing really well and have inserted themselves into "the wrasse pack" without any issues. So we're just going to patiently wait for the largest female to morph into a nice healthy XL male.
that is really sad about the 2 XL males. I know that from before, the big males don't always do well in acclimating to captivity. I'm confident that with your trio of females, one will be a really nice male in a few months and a full blown terminal male in a year or so. good luck guys. keep us posted on the progress. I like seeing your 8 lines for eye candy. :)

Sorry to hear about the troubles some you have had.

I am happy to report my small male is continuing to do well and is slowly becoming rather red. :)

Thanks Brett, we really appreciate that and hope you are able to find a healthy male.

After spending about a half hour trying to snap some pics of the little ladies, I gave up. They are just too small and fast, LOL. I did manage to snag one semi-decent shot of the largest female.

The color is a bit off as the actinics, LED's were on.

I was playing around with the camera tonight at my first attempt to start taking pics in manual mode. I used the 'S" mode for this round which I got decent pics from:

Thanks. All three shots are of the bigger female. The other one looks small and stubby compared to this one. I got one or two halfway ok pics of th smaller that I'll upload in a few.

Here is the other. Pic was a bit out of focus, but it shows how much smaller the little one is. You can tell she's much shorter than the other:

+1 Bryan!

Thanks. Gonna play with the camera more tomorrow to see if I can continue to improve on what I figured out tonight. First thing I learned was to turn off the blue LEDs and only leave the white/blue combos on. All the blue strips - another 36 blue LEDs - made for tough picture taking.

These pics are under 72 LEDs at 2:1 White & Blue mixture.

Showoff :) Where did you get him?

Once I can start buying fish again, 8 lines are my first purchase for sure while they are still available.

LADD, I wanted a female trio this time around but they were holding out on me and I couldn't help myself.

I was lucky enough to pick up a pair locally and the male is stunning. This is the best pic I could get for now, not the best, sorry.

I agree. Mine isn't as pink as my pictures show above, but still doing really well in the QT, along with the other 3 fish, haha.

I did a quinine sulfate treatment and all the spots are gone on the Mitratus butterfly and everybody looks good, even the Jewel Leopard wrasse. :)
