This I do not want to do.....Update on my issues. After being in constant contact with MS a faulty “brush” was noticed on my original disc. First pic shows the disc and around 2 O’clock position note that there is nothing in that cavity. Now on the second pic note that there is a blue “brush” type of component present. That’s the brush that cleans the unit prior to sampling and measurement.
I also noticed that several very tiny starfish were “hiding” under the unit around the bottom part of the MS
See third pic.
So bottom line I think cleaning and inspecting the unit should be done at least on a weekly basis. Just my .02 cents.
And A plus for MS customer service
They have been very responsive to fixing my issues
Thanks MS
Hopefully unit keeps working as it did originally.
have the results improved since you found the disc issue and corrected it?Update on my issues. After being in constant contact with MS a faulty “brush” was noticed on my original disc. what does this mean?Is the device capable of receiving updates?
Right - but how do you know that 'salifert' is the right one?I am not comparing but in order to know if my MS values are CORRECT I need to have some other value readily available.
For example my MS is measuring 32.8 Salinity.
I have triple checked that value with three other salinity probes and those values differ from MS by a lot!
MS 32.8
Others 35
So that’s why I am “comparing” with other tests.
Sorry I thought you were talking about using salifert to compare the rest.Right - but how do you know that 'salifert' is the right one?
I don’t know but I also have ICP testing done last week to compare. I seriously doubt that my alkalinity is 5.60 at this point without a massive crashRight - but how do you know that 'salifert' is the right one?
icp cant test alkI don’t know but I also have ICP testing done last week to compare. I seriously doubt that my alkalinity is 5.60 at this point without a massive crash
The same company may measure it, but they cannot measure alkalinity by icp.
