Does the Ultra Life produce micro bubbles with your skimmer like the CC powder?

The exact same effects of the Chemi-Clean.

Update, I am now dealing with a mini cycle after the long treatment most likely due to not running the skimmer, and carbon. I figure about two weeks of steading out my nutrients and I should be good again:rolleyes:

KZ coral snow is working on some cyano for me... Do weekly water changes, vacuum sand , reduced feeding, nitrates were down to 5 ppm. Had forgot all about this. Another reefer had recommended. Cyano is almost all gone after about 4 days of dosing.
And no adverse effects.

Tank update, I still have the cyano. It is time to start starving this stuff off slowly. Comment, the corals are growing and look there best

It been a couple of weeks, but reporting that the cyano looks to be dying off by getting my phosphates down. I start using a Hana ultra low phosphors checker to get a true reading, and going online with a larger GFO reactor has really helped. The cyano is now longer red but a light brown and there is a lot less of it. I have also dosed ATM's agent green with lanthanum chloride. The agent green has really helped getting down the sky-high phosphates.

I found this link to be pretty interesting reading about Cyanobacteria and how there are two strains that either feed off of phosphates or the other that feeds off of nitrates

Well I am dealing with cyano on my 6 month old 250 + 60g sump. The picture below was taken Friday, the champ has gotten worse, so I dosed 30 scoops of chemiclean and also dosed H2O2 last night. Hoping for it to go bye bye.

Stuff is such a scourge. I get angry just thinking about it. It’s a curse on all reefers. If you’ve never dealt with it.... just wait.

I really think it has to do with the time of year down here. I still have had a touch since all of my cleaning. For myself I have found that changing the filter socks and cleaning the skimmer cup daily has done wonder to starve the cyano off.

I didn't read through the previous 18x pages - but how certain are you on it being Cyano, vs dinos/spirulina/diatoms/other algae, etc

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
