Since I'm doing a fish only tank what should I be watching for as far as parameters, ammonia, ph, nitrite, and nitrates. Any thing else

They don't really matter im just giving you the chart I go by. Your main ones for fish only are PH, salinity, nitrite, nitrate, maybe even phosphate, and alkalinity.

My tank has just started it's cycle so I have a little time to get the rest of the stuff I need.

Well nitrite will be the first thing to come into action, I recommend using stability by seachem to lower it down.
