Half way done with controller board. I mounted a board to the wall/stud and to my light mount on the right. I will mount my controller board to this with a hinge and still have room for other stuff like dosers and plugs.

Controller board is coming out pretty well. I mounted it with the hinges and it works great. I will finish it tomorrow when the plumbing is done. I was bummed that the magnets for my 2 reef wave 25s were not strong enough for this thick of glass so I ordered 2 MP 40s. Looking forward to setting those up in the back with the max spect gyres on the sides. Tank will be wet this time tomorrow. Can't wait.

I'm running the whole tank with 2 of these wifi power strips. The kasa app seems to work well. It allows for schedules for each plug for refugium lights, dosers, etc. Time will tell if it works well. I used to use the individual gosund plugs but this is much nicer to just use a couple power strips. It even gives current/average power consumption for each plug. Not bad for $60 each.

Is there a way to use aftermarket magnets with the reef waves? Like some stronger neodymium amazon magnets?

Be prepared, the mp40’s barely work on 3/4 glass. Gotta have them centered PERFECTLY on startup. And definitely have the cord attached well with the zip tie sticky things.

I'm going to use the reefwaves in my sump. I noticed the mp40s barely hold on. I'll be sure to zip tie the cords. Thx

I've been using 2 of these for my tank for almost a year now and no complaints! Its nice being able to turn off equipment through the app or just pressing the individual buttons

So leveling a 6 foot tank without leveling feet on tile floor is somewhat challenging. I thought it was level but when I filled it with water the weight must have collapsed some of the rubber pads under one end. My LFS was busy and I was impatient so I drained the tank into a kiddie pool. We then lifted one end with these lifts and placed more plastic shims. We then pumped the water back in. Now it is level. A lot of work.

I finished all the electronics last night and will post some pics and a video soon. I hope to build all my rock structures tomorrow and get 1/2 my fish in then or sunday. I ordered some fish from drreef and will add the 2nd half of my fish when they come.

It is finished! I completed the final step today. I love this tank. Love the dimensions. The glass, the stand, the sump, everything. This thing is a work of art! I love it.

I made several large rock structures from Marco rock with mortar and used them as the base. I added all my old rock and I really like how it turned out. Lots of room for the fish and lots of room for more acros.

I have an order from Dr reef coming in a few weeks. Some lyre tail anthias, desjardini sailfin, magnificent foxface, Scott's green fairy wrasse. I will then add my yellow tang and tomini tang that are still in the garage.

Sadly, I have decided not to add Jaws (my melanurus wrasse) to the big tank. I want to keep some cleaner shrimps and he is a shrimp assassin. He will live his life in the garage unless I decide to rehome him. He has been with me since the beginning 3 years ago. Instead I added my Christmas wrasse (the mellow kind). So far he has left the shrimp alone.

Heading to reefapalooza tomorrow in Anaheim. Excited! Hoping to grab some rock anemones and maybe some acros.
