I've been having trouble with my no3 being too low, coral was pale and no polyp extension. Started feeding heavy and skimming periodically, also purchased some sodium nitrate to dose, haven't started that yet. Last no3 was 5 on Nyos test kit. Coral color improving also slowly dropped my Alk from 10 to 8, po4 still reading 0.0 on Hanna Alrhough ATS is on line, I don't expect much growth for a long time
Marine Pure and Pukani doing a great job
New addition to QT. Chevron Tang. Thin as a razor blade, hope I can get him eating soon, immediate conflict between the AT and him with him loosing a bit of his dorsal fin. Put the AT in time out in an acclimation box for a few hours then put an egg create divider in the tank for a few hours. Tempers cooled down a bit, ovassional squaring off but no physical contact
First cleaning of Turbo Aquatic L4 ATS. Looking real good. I really thought I was going to have a hard time getting it to grow because of the skimmer and the low readings I've gotten on po4 0.0 and no3 3, but I have been running the skimmer much less and feeding the fish more 3 times a day. My po4 is still 0 but no3 at last check was 12, but now I have no more pale acros and my lps have open back up. I had a Duncan and frog spawn stay closed for nearly a month. I had purchased sodium nitrite to dose but have no need at present. Very pleased with the color on the corals. Here is some pics of the mortar screen covered in algae. First pic after cleaning, second pic before cleaning about 15 days of growth
