Getting quotes for a new steel stand. The 2x4 sheathed in hard maple is nothing to write home about.

Sorry for the slow progress. Steel delivered, so stand construction will begin shortly. LEDs were delivered Monday. Biggest issue right now is USPS has lost my Apex . Will update more this weekend!!!

Using my old Skiimer until new one comes this week. Working on getting the LEDs up too, the T5s work for now but really not enough light!

Hello all, soon to be changes to my set-up. Was looking to have a custom tank built to replace the current set-up. Wanted a full 72" and a smaller/less obtrusive overflow. Lo and behold came across a 250 (72l x 24d, 32t) for free!!! Was a built in and the plumbing starting leaking. Due to how it was installed, to fix the leak the tank needs to be removed or a wall taken down. Owner decided to just remove the tank and claim the space.

Positives for the tank are 1: its free, 2: I have a custom stand for that foot print already, and 3: it has the length I want.

Negatives 1: would have preferred it wasn't so tall :)

Will be going to pick it up and some associated equipment on the 21st. This time I will not be doing under tank plumbing, but will route everything into the garage. I have a nice raceway frag tank that will be put into service, unless I can splurge and get a couple custom frag tanks built. Will also be adding a 75g split refugium with a deep sandbed with macros in 2/3s of the tank and a cryptic zone in the remaining 1/3.

This will be a slower build, due to not having to be in a huge hurry to get tank up and switched over.

Wish me luck :)
