Looks like my corals finally departed from Indiana, and are landing in Louisville in a few minutes. Then it'll catch a flight to Albany at 3am, and then hopefully be here early in the morning. I really hope they survived, and if they did, I hope they cab tolerate the lower mag for a day

It has been that low for longer than a day, so the next 24 hours shouldn't make or break them. I've had two back to back shipments get stuck in Kentucky (that sounds like a country song), and haven't lost a coral. Several of those were sps. They were packed perfectly, so there's that factor as well. I'd remain hopeful and contact the seller immediately of any doas. I take pics no matter what the coral looks like to me, just in case. Review your seller's policy and be ready with any evidence of loss.

Holy mole Smorgs I’m feeling wiped and a little overwhelmed. To much excitement and stimulus.
I’m not going to be very active on her for awhile.
I’ve bit off almost more than I can chew but it’s very exciting and shocking what has transpired in my world the last week.
The amazing people Ive met and been introduced to that want to do whatever they can to help me succeed at an ornamental aquaculture on larger scale.
I’ll try to keep y’all posted on developments as they happen.
I love Y’all and hope you y’all are being happy filled with love and joy and keep on smorging without me for a few more days…lol

We are always here for you my friend!
Always.

Well said John!
They should be fine @WalkerLovesTheOcean
Don't worry.
Temp, salinity, light, little bit of alk is all they care about at first.

Thanks! You all are making me feel optimistic. I really need a reefing miracle right now, because these past few days in my tank has been real rough.

You definitely have to have ups to counter the downs, or it's easy to get discouraged.
When I had my delays, I just floated the bags to acclimate temperature. They came from a reputable source that I'd dealt with before, so I didn't dip them. Usually, I always dip new corals. I checked the salinity and found it to be very close or the same, so I didn't drip acclimate. They went to a lower flow/light area for a bit before I started putting them where my eye wanted them.
What corals are you waiting on?

Should be just fine Walker!
Zoas are pretty tough.
Crossing fingers for ya I think every little things gonna be alright.
We all struggle in this hobby at times, no matter what anyone says.
My tank has been giving me fits for months but I decided a couple of days ago I wasn't going to let it beat me lol.
I understand.
You'll be back up in no time.
No time at all.

Thanks John!
No matter how long I do this, sometimes things are just a pain in the butt, even if you don't want to you have to anyways.
Sounds a lot like life I guess. ;)
Thanks for the support.
Tank looks better now.

Who is the plumbing guru of the group!?

I’m building my 125G still and bought a bunch of 1 inch plumbing parts to match my overflow. Rookie mistake, I didn’t confirm that my return pump (maxspect 10K ) only has attachments for 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 barb couplings.

I want to go from barb to pvc at the return to reduce friction. How can I reduce the pump down to 1 inch, I know it’ll kill flow but I should still have enough if I reduce down.

Thanks.
